Looks like a cute little court jester to me...lol Good Job Jennifer. The slide show was excellent but I had one small problem. I did not know what Kosha Appreciating Everything meant until the 8th slide (reason for selection). Once I figured that out I reviewed the entire show again and gained a better appreciation for the art work itself. Nice Job! Have a great fall semester!
ReplyDeleteI would not have seen the sadness in this art if you had not pointed it out. I thought it was whimsical and fun. After looking again, and at the additional pieces, I saw the sadness too. Very sad faces in the sculptures. Thank you for sharing your interests. Many of the artists we saw had used their artwork to create in this way. Fastinating, she created her first sculpture at age 4!
ReplyDeleteThis piece is one of the weirdest I've seen. The strips on the piece made me think that the person was in prison and trapped in a small enclosed space. Your presentation opened my eyes to how speical and amazing this piece really is and how it tells a story. Thanks, great job!!!
ReplyDeleteBy far this is the most interesting piece of art. You can only imagine how her physical limitation in speech must have spurred so much imagination. The ceramic dolls are interesting caricatures of her inner turmoil. Nice choice.

ReplyDeleteThis figurine is a little creepy but the piece was enlightening.It just goes to show you what is considered art. I would not have thought of it that way. I enjoyed it and have a greater appreciation for it.
