Wow Erica! I am not sure what you did but your presentation just seemed to flow really well. The background and the pictures along with the way you placed items within the slides was magnificent. I think you have a bit of artistic flair within yourself just trying to escape. Excellent job, I really enjoyed the slideshow. have a great fall semester!
ReplyDeleteI would have walked right by these "boulders" and not considered them art at all. Thank you for picking them and making me see them they way they were intended. I really like contemporary artwork but have a problem "seeing" the artists' intention. This class has helped me to slow down and really look at the lines and shapes that create art. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great story Erica....I would not have noticed these were fountains. The boulders are not your typical fountain, very different and relaxing. I like how you first gave your personal experience of viewing art as you were in growing up. After this class I have become to appreciate art and notice buildings, art pictures that I wouldnt have before. You did a great job!

I liked the flow of your presentation and how everything flowed together. I like how you incorporated the school's art gallery and also work from the Nelson Atkins Museum. This was super!

Even modern Japanese art is pretty. I guess a lot of their stuff is functional or based off of functional pieces. I actually didn't know about the stone basins for hand washing, so that was interesting.
