I have always enjoyed the "Shuttlecocks" at the Nelson, but I learned some interesting facts from your presentation that I never knew about. For example, I had no idea that there had been a conflict between the Nelson and the Park and Recreation board about placing them on the Nelson lawn. That's so interesting to me, as forward thinking as Mayor Cleaver was and with the push for art funding I am shocked that there was a conflict at all. I also didn't know that this was to be temporary. What a shock it would have been to see the "shuttlecocks" there one day and gone the next. Thank you for this great presentation, I learned a lot.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the pictures you put in your presentation. The snow in the first one made me laugh and think of a nice cool winter day. Quite refreshing, indeed! I realy liked the long distance shots showing the gallery building between the two shuttlecocks. It actually looked as if the shuttlecocks were in mid-air. Good Job and have a great fall semester!
